On Wednesday 5th March, the whole school spent the afternoon learning about our Cornish heritage. Lerryn Class made super Cornish flags and very proudly waved and sang songs! Children in Key Stage one learnt about the Cornish Coat of Arms. Key Stage Two learnt about the meaning of Cornish place names like Tre, Pol and Pen! We finished it with our super assembly including the Trelawney Shout! Mar pleg 'thank you' to all the parents/carers who came along! The hall was bursting at the seams with in excess of 50 parents and carers joining us, amazing! The children sand the Cornish anthem Trelawney and Cornwall My Home with part of it in Cornish. Thank you Steve for the super cornet playing and Mr King for the great guitar skills! It was all brilliant!
