World Book Day
Thursday 6th March, saw another brilliant World Book Day! As a school, we all focussed on traditional tales. Each class spent the day immersed in a traditional tale. All children dressed up as either a character from their class story or wore their pyjamas.
Books and Bacon (or sausage!) kicked off the day excellently! Thank you to everyone who came along from 8:15am. We served over 100 breakfast baps! Big thank you to Lyra in the kitchen for cooking extra early!
We then had a morning assembly which included the annual teacher storytelling, with this year being A Squash and a Squeeze! Many memories made that's for sure!!
During the day, there was a wide range of activities taking place including: storytelling, drama, invitation writing, sketching, drawing, reading, mask making and so much more!
As part of homework, children made the most amazing story boxes at home. They are all on display around the school and looking absolutely amazing! We love reading at Dobwalls!
