Healthy Cornwall Taste Challenge
On Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th February, members of staff from Healthy Cornwall visited all our Key Stage Two pupils to take part in a taste challenge. Children learnt about the importance of eating a rainbow - making healthy choices and the reasons why.
All children were able to taste a wide variety of foods. It was so brilliant for children to be encouraged to taste news foods and find new things they like to eat. They used their SECRET skills of try something new brilliantly!
I tried kiwi and beetroot. I hadn’t tasted before but I liked it. Arthur, Y5
I really liked the peaches and have asked for them at home already! Leo, Y6
I now really like dried apricots! Shay, Y5
I really liked the dried apricots – sweet and yummy. Ava, Y6
I tried red and green pepper and liked it. The last time I tried it, I didn’t like it! Freddie, Y5
